AI & African Enterprises: March 2022 Newsletter

Newsletter originially published March 28, 2022

📈 One Quarter Down, Three to Go

As we approach the end of the first quarter in 2022, it feels redundant to say, but so much has happened.  From Russia's incursion into Ukraine, to Crypto, to market turbulence, to elections, to funding rounds, in this age where we face a constant stream of updates, we can only expect more change.

In this month's newsletter, we highlight a new data centre in Tanzania, a Kenyan AI/agritech startup's Series B, the Moroccan government's position on AI ethics, amongst other activity across Africa's AI economy.

I am happy to report this newsletter saw a 30% increase in readership between our first issue in January and second issue in February! Please feel free to share #AIAE with interested friends and colleagues 😊.

As usual, we look forward to meeting you in your inbox on the last Monday of each month! Questions, comments, or just want to chat? We'd love to hear from you!
