AI & African Enterprises: January 2022 Newsletter

Newsletter Originally Pubslished January 31, 2022

😃 Welcome!

Like almost every other business, in the midst of the pandemic we jumped on the zoom bandwagon and organized a series of webinars. Our aim was to promote discussions and collate resources on the expanding role of AI in Africa. The newsletter recapping each webinar session was well-received so we and decided to turn it into a proper monthly newsletter, and here we are!

At the risk of stating the obvious, a lot has happened in in the first month of 2022. From the coup in Burkina Faso, to the passing of former interim president of Nigeria, Earnest Shonekan, to the Africa Cup of Nations,  every week this month has seen multiple significant headlines. Add to that volatility in global equity markets, declining valuations in recent tech IPOs, an extended crypto sellof, inflation concerns, and 2022 seems set to be an eventful year.

We look forward to meeting you in your inbox on the last Monday of each month! Questions, comments, or just want to chat? We'd love to hear from you!
